Description
Characteristic
Lutetium(III) Sulfate Hydrate is a moderately water and acid soluble Lutetium source for uses compatible with sulfates. Sulfate compounds are salts or esters of sulfuric acid formed by replacing one or both of the hydrogens with a metal.
Chemical formula:Lu2(SO4)3•8H2O
Molar mass:782.3 g/mol
Appearance:White Crystal
Solubility:Soluble in water, moderately soluble in strong mineral acids.
Application
Lutetium Sulfate also called Lutetium Sulphate, is applied in making phosphors. Stable Lutetium can be used as catalysts in petroleum cracking in refineries and can also be used in alkylation, hydrogenation, and polymerization applications. It can also be used as an ideal host for X-ray phosphors.
